Job SummaryThe Plant Manager will lead the development and execution of operations strategies to drive business growth and profitability. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute operations strategies to meet business requirements and drive cost reductions.
- Direct the work of plant operations leadership and analyze operations requirements.
- Leverage industry best practices and financial analysis to recommend solutions for operations performance improvement.
- Oversee and execute operations strategies to ensure efficient product flow across the supply chain.
- Lead and manage Roquette Pea site manufacturing, maintenance, and environmental/health/safety teams.
- Manage key partner relationships and performance.
- Develop and execute an operations strategy to meet and exceed key company performance goals.
- Take a customer-centric approach to supply chain management and demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Lead and direct health, safety, and environmental compliance and culture across the organization.
- Sponsor Lean Six Sigma projects and participate in project reviews.
- Engage the organization in cycle time improvement through Lean and Kaizen events.
- Be a change agent for developing key organizational capabilities.
- Collaborate with functional areas to ensure alignment with key priorities.
- Motivate, develop, retain, and recruit top talent across the organization.
- Design goals and expectations that motivate the organization to achieve results.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or operations management required.
- 15+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, chemistry/chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in strategy development, cost management, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to manage capital expenditures, budgeting, and expense control.
- Innovative thinker with experience in new process technology and process engineering leadership.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to EHS development and compliance.
- Experience leading in a manufacturing environment, including managing a large asset of size and scope compatible with Roquette's platform.
- 5+ years as a large site manager in chemical or other relevant manufacturing.
- Key competencies of business acumen, intellectual horsepower, process management, and managing diverse and challenging relationships.
