Position Summary

The Customer Insights Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Sales Operations team, aimed at fostering performance excellence and informed strategic decisions across various business dimensions. This role involves transforming financial data and operational metrics into actionable business insights. The specialist will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Business Development and Provider Solutions teams, delivering critical data insights that drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and track relevant KPIs for Business Development and Provider teams, assessing market penetration and sales performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain effective sales reporting dashboards that illustrate year-to-date progress against expectations.
  • Enhance existing KPIs to improve sales reporting and provide deeper insights for informed decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by overseeing lookup files and implementing strategies for standardized data management.
  • Organize customer lists into targeted segments to support focused sales strategies and improve customer engagement.
  • Monitor the sales funnel across various teams to identify financial risks and opportunities on a monthly basis.
  • Produce comprehensive monthly reports and presentations on customer performance metrics, tailored to specific therapeutic areas.
  • Identify inefficiencies in reporting processes and leverage expertise to optimize or create new reports as necessary.
  • Support financial planning and forecasting processes by providing timely updates on revenue trends and insights for strategic alignment.
  • Extract and refine raw data from Power BI and other sources to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct research to inform client segmentation strategies.
  • Maintain the integrity of Salesforce data through regular audits and proactive management.
  • Coordinate the Net Promoter Score (NPS) initiatives to gather and analyze customer feedback for strategic enhancements.

General Responsibilities

  • Communicate data-driven insights effectively, providing clear recommendations to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with various business units to leverage data analytics and optimize opportunities.
  • Work with the Data & Analytics team to resolve usability issues in reporting tools, ensuring optimal user experience.
  • Identify and develop innovative strategies in collaboration with other business units to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Assist the Manager of Customer Insights and Strategy on special projects, with potential leadership roles in future initiatives.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field; an MBA or Master's degree is an asset.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the biopharma or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and resolve complex business challenges.
  • Proven business acumen with a history of utilizing customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian healthcare industry and experience with IQVIA datasets are advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word) and knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce) is beneficial.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and openness to innovative analytical approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a strong team player, adept at managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high sense of urgency.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
