About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Concrete Forming Specialist to join our team at EllisDon Forming Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of concrete forming projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Site Management
    • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
    • Instruct apprentices
    • Supervise other workers
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Work Environment

As a Carpenter - Concrete Forming Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. You will be required to work in a noisy and dusty environment, both indoors and outdoors.

Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Skills
    • Accurate and efficient interpersonal skills
    • Reliability and ability to work as a team player
