Lead French Language Project Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage linguistic quality for our French offerings, catering to both Canadian French and France French audiences. As a Lead French Language Project Coordinator, your role will involve ensuring cohesive and engaging language content across various aspects of our user engagement, including Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Support. Expertise in translation software such as Phrase, WorldServer, and Trados is essential.

Position: Lead French Language Project Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee superior language content for French products in both Canadian and French markets.
  • Collaborate with External Service Providers for editing and localization projects.
  • Maintain a consistent tone and cultural relevance across language markets.
  • Oversee in-market style guides and terminology databases.
  • Work alongside translation vendors to uphold linguistic quality.
  • Deliver linguistic training and constructive feedback to enhance translation standards.
  • Address linguistic challenges impacting customer experiences.
  • Incorporate customer insights into language and business strategies.
  • Assist cross-functional teams with language-related needs.
  • Educate local teams on localization methodologies.
  • Partner with design teams to ensure uniform tone and terminology.
  • Manage review workflows within the language family.
  • Collaborate closely with the Localization Manager to refine processes.

Qualifications:

  • Native-level proficiency in one of the languages within the language family.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in language management.
  • Bachelor's degree in linguistics or translation; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English.
  • Familiarity with translation tools such as Phrase, WorldServer, and Trados.
  • Additional knowledge of SAAS software and accounting terminology is a plus.
