About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dressmakers Supervisor to join our team at Jerry's Skating World Inc. as a key member of our fashion production department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination
    • Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless production and delivery of high-quality apparel products.
    • Establish and implement effective methods to meet work schedules and deadlines.
  • Production Planning and Control
    • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
    • Prepare and analyze production reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize productivity.
  • Staff Management and Development
    • Train and mentor staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure a high level of competence and productivity.
    • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions to ensure the right talent is in place to drive business success.
  • Materials and Equipment Management
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure a smooth production process.
    • Set up and maintain machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Quality and Productivity
    • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Gerber AccuMark software proficiency.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role may also require standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
