Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Labourer to join our team at Josling Farms Inc. as a Field Crop Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the cultivation and harvesting of vegetable crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from growing.
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to ensure a smooth and efficient harvesting process.
  • Hand harvest vegetables to ensure high-quality produce.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to promote healthy growth and maximize yields.
  • Weed crops to prevent competition for water and nutrients.
  • Fertilize and spray crops to promote healthy growth and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Harvest crops at the optimal time to ensure maximum quality and flavor.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and have good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
