Job Title: Law Clerk

Brar Legal Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our team. As a Law Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lawyers and staff in the preparation and presentation of cases.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish work priorities for court staff and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Receive and process affidavits, declarations, and affirmations.
  • Represent clients in small claims court and other lower court proceedings.
  • Research and analyze court files and other legal documents.
  • Schedule court trials and arrange pre-trial conferences and hearings.
  • Witness and certify the validity of signatures on documents.
  • Collect and record administrative and service fees.
  • Draft legal correspondence and explain rights and obligations to defendants.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a legal setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
