About the Opportunity
As Director, Sustainable Investing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Ontario Teachers' approach to corporate governance and stewardship within its global investment portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that align with our commitment to sustainable investing principles.
Who You'll Work With
You will collaborate closely with the Sustainable Investing Team, working alongside experts in ESG analysis, portfolio management, and research. Your leadership will guide a dedicated team of professionals focused on corporate governance and stewardship initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define the strategic direction for corporate governance and stewardship within Ontario Teachers'.
- Maintain a deep understanding of global corporate governance best practices and emerging trends, ensuring our policies and strategies remain at the forefront of industry standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive corporate governance frameworks for our diverse investment portfolio.
- Engage with investee companies to promote responsible corporate behavior and drive positive change through constructive dialogue and shareholder advocacy.
- Monitor and analyze global regulatory developments impacting corporate governance, adapting our strategies accordingly.
- Lead a team of professionals dedicated to executing our corporate governance and stewardship agenda.
About You
You are a highly motivated and results-oriented leader with a proven track record in corporate governance and sustainability. Your expertise in financial markets, investment strategies, and ESG principles is complemented by your strong analytical and communication skills.
You possess a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of corporate responsibility and are passionate about driving positive change through sustainable investing practices.
