Psychotherapist (Talent Pool) - Mental Health Professional

About the Role
The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Psychotherapist to join our team at Altum Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions to support clients in managing mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement return-to-work plans, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support throughout their recovery journey.
- Develop and maintain accurate, detailed records of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and education activities to enhance clinical practice and contribute to the growth of the organization.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Health or Social Sciences, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in mental health services.
- Membership in good standing with a regulated health professions college, such as the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
- Additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and group facilitation is preferred.
- Experience working with diverse client populations, including those with complex mental health needs and disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
