Talent Acquisition Coordinator

Location: Hybrid, primarily based in a designated office

Reporting to: Director, People & Culture

Job status: Temporary Full-time (1.0 FTE)

Compensation: $63,000 - $70,000

YOUR ROLE

POSITION OVERVIEW

In collaboration with the Director, People & Culture, this position is responsible for overseeing the complete recruitment process. As a vital member of the People & Culture team, you will engage in and support various HR initiatives, processes, and policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment – 80%

  • Lead and manage all facets of recruitment initiatives and processes across the organization.
  • Participate in both in-person and virtual career fairs to attract a diverse talent pool.
  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to create effective job postings and interview frameworks, continuously enhancing the recruitment experience.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from employees and candidates to improve the recruitment process.
  • Guide managers in adhering to recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the recruitment workflow using the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Evaluate the recruitment process through the lenses of accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Conduct follow-up check-ins with new hires at one week, one month, and three months.
  • Ensure completion of entry-level surveys to assess candidate expectations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in developing a dashboard to track recruitment metrics and candidate engagement.
  • Enhance the onboarding experience for all new employees.
  • Coordinate onboarding training sessions in collaboration with relevant presenters.
  • Work together to create and deliver training for hiring colleagues focused on best practices.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process related to recruitment expenses.

Administrative Duties – 20%

  • Collaborate with the People and Culture and payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of employment changes.
  • Engage in internal committees as needed.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment.

• Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems.

• At least 2 years of comprehensive experience in HR generalist roles.

• Experience in non-profit and/or healthcare sectors is advantageous.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Proof of Health Canada approved vaccinations is required prior to the start of employment.

• Flexibility is essential, as this position may involve occasional weekend and evening work.
