Job Summary

The Project Coordinator will provide support to the project management team and coordinate daily activities on various commercial, industrial, and civil transportation projects in the Greater Vancouver Area. The successful candidate will also develop skills as an Estimator for the same type of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aid in the pursuit of projects through the bid process, including proposal writing, information gathering, and estimating tasks.
  • Assist the estimating team with quantity take-offs and prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, schedules, and quantity verifications.
  • Coordinate project kick-off, including leading scope pre-planning, contact submissions, and distribution of project plans and specifications.
  • Ensure project plans, coding, locates, and specifications are distributed to supervisors and crews.
  • Coordinate contract submittals, including inspection test plans, requests for information, and vendor drawing control.
  • Monitor project costs and financial reports, providing feedback to operations and estimating departments.
  • Collaborate with the project team, including overseeing junior coordinators and project support staff.
  • Verify job site quantities and assist with monthly progress invoices and reporting.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Tech with a C.E.T designation or PMP is preferred.
  • Minimum 2-5 years project coordination and field supervisory experience, estimating experience preferred.
  • Experience managing projects valued $ and above.
  • General understanding of construction accounting.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Excel, Sheets, Microsoft Project, Word, Bluebeam, and Bid-To-Win or other significant Heavy Civil Estimating or Civil Construction software.
