Department Manager, Durham Centre

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to lead our Clothing Department at the Durham Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and coaching your team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and meet sales targets.
  • Coach and develop your team to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and coaching for development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies and improve customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of business growth and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in or involvement in sports or the sporting goods industry an asset.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
