Key Responsibilities:

The primary role of this position is to lead and mentor team members, establish and uphold quality control systems and processes for evaluating and qualifying alternative suppliers for materials (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, Raw Materials, and Packaging Components) in compliance with regulatory standards.

This role will generate comprehensive quality control reports (Vendor Assessments concerning analytical specifications, analytical validations, and product evaluations related to Residual Solvent Requirements, Elemental Analysis Requirements, and Nitrosamines) to facilitate the qualification of new suppliers in a compliant manner.

This position promotes a culture of quality assurance, ensuring thoroughness and timeliness in lab investigations.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising, guiding, and mentoring staff through ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and routine meetings.
  • Planning, scheduling, organizing, and monitoring workloads to ensure all operations are executed within required turnaround times and adherence to established schedules.
  • Authoring risk assessments and reports for evaluations related to Nitrosamines, Elemental Analysis, and Residual Solvents.
  • Providing troubleshooting support for testing methods and equipment issues.
  • Identifying and implementing key process improvements to enhance systems and elevate compliance standards.
  • Participating in Internal, Customer, and Regulatory Audits.
  • Collaborating with relevant departments to integrate quality into processes and systems.
  • Conducting monthly Health and Safety Audits and safety training.
  • Managing other responsibilities and special projects as required.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in a Science-related field is required, along with strong supervisory experience being an asset.
