Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Optimize existing business processes within the sector to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Negotiate medium to long-term contracts with suppliers, safeguarding the organization's interests and securing favorable terms.
  • Manage the supplier program in accordance with Enerkem's social responsibility policies, promoting ethical and sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
  • Conduct performance reviews with selected suppliers to assess their capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Handle claims, particularly those related to construction projects, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Provide post-delivery support to plants, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any arising issues.
  • Contribute to the existing supply chain by identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Coordinate tender support activities, negotiations, and contract executions, ensuring a seamless procurement process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (preferred).
  • Training in purchasing and logistics principles.
  • 7 to 10 years of proven experience in procurement within a project environment, ideally in the petrochemical or mining sectors.

Your Skills

  • Basic understanding of quality assurance and logistics principles.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, enabling efficient task management and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities, crucial for resolving complex procurement challenges.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
  • Fluency in both French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience working with engineering teams in a process-driven culture.
  • Understanding of projects within a complex contract execution context.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools such as ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
