Landscaping Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at A.K. Landscaping Services Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and maintenance of our landscaping projects.
Key Responsibilities- Hiring and Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of grounds maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Grounds Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive plans for grounds maintenance, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Labour and Materials Estimation: Plan and estimate the labour and materials required for each project, ensuring that we stay within budget and meet deadlines.
- Construction Management: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscape features, ensuring that they are built to the highest standards.
- Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate records and logs of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired, minimizing downtime and ensuring that our team can work efficiently.
- Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to complete projects on time.
- Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Provide technical advice and guidance to team members, resolving any issues that may arise during projects.
- Nursery and Greenhouse Management: Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers, ensuring that they are following best practices and meeting quality standards.
- Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish and maintain work schedules and procedures, ensuring that our team is working efficiently and effectively.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail required to ensure that work is completed to the highest standards.
- Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking required throughout the day.
- Initiative: Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary.
- Judgement: Must have good judgement and decision-making skills to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Player: Must be a team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve common goals.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
