Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Grand River Granite LTD.
Job Summary:The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, materials, and equipment within our warehouse and to external locations. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate shipments: Determine the method of shipment, schedule distribution of goods, and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
- Warehouse operations: Assemble containers and crates, inspect and verify incoming goods, and maintain internal record-keeping systems.
- Supervise staff: Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, supervise material handlers and helpers, and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Computer and technology knowledge: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Windows.
- Security and safety: Maintain basic security clearance and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Work conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail, and physically demanding.
