Job Summary

The Assistant Maintenance Team Leader is a key role within our facilities management team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of our facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Lead a team of technicians to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facilities meet the needs of our clients.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain all facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce our environmental impact.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • College diploma or certification in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in facilities management, with a strong technical background.
  • Previous leadership experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Trade certification or license in one or more of the following: refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, or industrial mechanics.
  • Power Engineering 3rd Class certification.
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS).
