{"h2": "Job Summary", "p": "We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer to join our team at Birla Carbon Canada Ltd.

As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power plant. This includes monitoring and maintaining plant equipment and systems, analyzing instrument readings and equipment malfunctions, and developing operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

* Monitor and maintain plant equipment and systems
* Analyze instrument readings and equipment malfunctions
* Develop operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
* Investigate problems to fix or make minor repairs
* Issue work and test permits to electrical and mechanical maintenance personnel
* Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities
* Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
* Operate automated or computerized control systems
* Perform routine equipment maintenance
* Regulate water levels
* Start up and shut down power plant equipment

Requirements:

* Stationary Engineer 3rd Class certification
* Experience with compressors, condensers, distributed control systems, heat exchangers, high pressure boilers, pumps, turbines, valves, and water and waste treatment utilities
* Excellent oral communication skills
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
* Availability for shift or on-call work
