Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to join our team at Bantrel Co. as a Deputy Construction Manager for the HBJV Project. This is a full-time permanent position that will be based in a camp environment with a 14-day on, 7-day off rotation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project teams for HSE performance, including contractors, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate the project vision to the team, focusing on project planning, coordination, sequencing, and site resources utilization.
- Manage general superintendents and project construction coordinators, developing objectives and goals for each assigned individual.
- Foster and enhance client, contractor, and vendor relationships to ensure effective collaboration.
- Coordinate with HBJV Field Engineering, Site Material Management, Contracts, Project Controls, Quality, HSE, Common Services, and Commissioning to ensure seamless project execution.
- Support and drive the utilization of project initiatives, such as digital delivery and WorkFace Planning, and technology systems.
- Ensure logistical interfaces and delivery of materials are properly coordinated.
- Participate in incident investigations and reporting, actively contributing to a safe working environment.
- Assess construction schedules, taking into account any elements that might impact the schedule, and communicate with the Construction Manager, general superintendents, and contractors to ensure adherence to the project schedule.
- Provide guidance and oversight to general superintendents, reviewing and assisting with developing planning and ensuring the plan is communicated throughout the project team.
- Contribute to the Project Controls team, ensuring that work performed is consistent with the contract and meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Ensure regular feedback is shared with subordinates, including timely completion of employee performance appraisals.
- Address problems and issues promptly to facilitate cost-effective solutions.
- Communicate issues, events, performance, schedule adherence, and progress to the Construction Manager and other project stakeholders.
- Work with the Construction Manager to identify and resolve personnel issues and construction process/SOP revisions.
- Minimum 10 years of onsite experience as a construction manager.
- SMPEI (structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation) experience required for construction.
- Involvement in at least one significant project similar in size, scope, and location as the HBJV Project.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to professionally manage and resolve contractor issues to avoid further conflict escalation.
