Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Shared Health. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day-to-day planning, organization, and direction of the diagnostic imaging department.
  • Function as an independent self-directed professional in the delivery of direct patient care.
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Imaging Technology.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist certification exam (CAMRT).
  • Successful completion of the CAMRT's CTIC Course required.
  • Must be in good standing with CAMRT-MB.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time without resting.
  • Must demonstrate the use of safe and effective body mechanics while working with clients.
  • Must be able to safely transfer large and/or heavy clients who may have limited or no weight bearing capabilities.
  • Must be able to lift and position clients, some of whom are in a state of unconsciousness.
  • May be exposed to radiation (within acceptable limits).
  • May be required to occasionally work extended hours.
  • May be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress.
  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated clients/visitors/staff.
