Audiologist (WWGS) - Public Health Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our public health team, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and treating children with hearing-related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Perform audiological assessments for infants, preschool, and school-age children with suspected hearing disorders.
- Identify, assess, diagnose, and provide rehabilitative treatment to clients with hearing disorders.
- Evaluate, select, and fit hearing aids for clients, and provide ongoing monitoring.
- Screen children and families, and provide information or referral to other agencies as needed.
- Provide guidance to Audiometric Technicians, and maintain related records, documentation, and statistics.
- Graduation from an approved school of Audiology.
- One year's recent, related clinical experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current active registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC, and certification in applicable advanced competency.
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian and/or BC Association of Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of theory, principles, methods, objectives, and practices of Audiology.
- Ability to select, evaluate, and fit hearing aids, and plan, select, implement, and evaluate individual client plans.
- Ability to counsel/train clients and parents, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
