Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

BAASI TRUCKING LTD is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Safety: Ensure the safe transportation of goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience as a truck driver.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: International, local, long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul experience.
  • Security and Safety: Valid passport, basic security clearance, criminal record check, driver's validity licence check, driving record check (abstract), and drug test.
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
