Supporting Student Success as a Casual Educational Assistant

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is seeking a Casual Educational Assistant to join our team. As a collaborative team member, the Casual Educational Assistant will be responsible for the care and facilitation of the education of students with special needs and exceptionalities in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support to students with special needs and exceptionalities in an educational setting.
- Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure the needs of students are met.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with special needs and exceptionalities.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., education, special education, child and youth care).
- Experience working with students with special needs and exceptionalities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational setting.
