About the Role
As a key player in our organization, you will take on the role of Procurement Manager for Non-Production Spend (NPS) at Reckitt, a leader in consumer health and hygiene. Your primary focus will be to spearhead innovative procurement strategies that enhance our operational efficiency and contribute to our sustainability goals. This position is vital in shaping procurement strategies that align with our corporate objectives while optimizing costs and fostering strong supplier relationships. This role is an opportunity to blend strategic insight with measurable outcomes, influencing various aspects of our business.
Your Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement sourcing strategies for logistics categories, including warehousing and freight expenditures.
- Engage with regional stakeholders to comprehend their needs and priorities, aiming to optimize total cost, quality, and service.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to develop and execute effective sourcing strategies.
- Analyze service expenditures across the organization, assess market categories, and translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, encouraging them to present innovative solutions and efficiency projects.
- Contribute to the Procurement NPS Logistics team, driving sustained performance and enhancing procurement effectiveness.
- Continuously assess and improve supplier performance in terms of service and quality.
- Prepare budget forecasts in alignment with Canada’s strategic objectives.
- Identify and monitor risks and opportunities within each category, driving initiatives to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Draft, review, and modify contracts in collaboration with the Legal Department, ensuring protection of intellectual property and minimizing liabilities.
- Actively pursue improvements in cost of goods sold and net working capital.
The Experience We're Seeking
- 6 to 9+ years of experience in a global organization, demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional sourcing initiatives.
- Proven track record of collaboration within a matrix organization, working closely with stakeholders and budget owners.
- Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability in previous roles.
- Familiarity with legal and compliance aspects of procurement processes.
