Position Overview

The Ksan House Society is seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team in providing essential meal services.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a relevant role.
Work Environment

This position is based in a shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness, offering a fast-paced and physically demanding atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas regularly.
Certifications
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
Work Experience

Experience in a community service organization is preferred.

Safety and Security

A criminal record check is required for this position.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to handle a physically demanding workload.
