Job Summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Professional to provide leadership in the care of clients. The successful candidate will contribute to the assessment, planning, development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of care related to Speech-Language Pathology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in the care of clients, ensuring high-quality services are delivered in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
  • Assess, identify, and treat clients of varying ages and with diverse diagnoses, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including evaluations of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, incorporating a range of interventions, including speech, language, and cognitive therapies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with best practices, research, and industry developments, applying knowledge to enhance client care and services.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba.
  • Eligibility for membership in Speech-Language and Audiology Canada.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English language proficiency, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
