Technical Trainer Role

Survalent is seeking a skilled Technical Trainer to join our Training team. As a Technical Trainer, you will play a crucial role in helping clients learn how to use our software products effectively, ensuring they can maximize the benefits and functionality of the software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver training programs for internal teams and external clients
  • Provide technical expertise to assist with project engineering and sales team requirements
  • Develop and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises
  • Create training programs tailored to different audiences, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced users
  • Assess trainees' understanding and provide feedback for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SCADA technology and industry best practices
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to trainees post-training
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving SCADA-related issues as needed
Requirements
  • Diploma/Certificate in Information Technology or related technical field
  • Experience writing training manuals, user guides, and job aids for IT solutions
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Adobe LMS or similar platforms is an asset
  • Knowledge of Adobe Captivate or similar application is an asset
  • Knowledge of Survalent Software (SCADA Administration Level 1 and 2) is an asset
  • Knowledge of a SCADA/OMS/DMS (ADMS) platform is an asset
  • Field experience in the use/implementation of Survalent software is an asset
  • Strong multi-tasking ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing)
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated
  • Good listening skill
