Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As an Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and distributing supplies and equipment to our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive and inspect shipments for damages and shortages, and record all receipts into our computerized system.
  • Inventory Management: Count and verify shipments from packing slips to our materials management system, and ensure WHMIS labeling on hazardous materials.
  • Stock Rotation and Replenishment: Maintain accurate records of stock issued and received, and replenish stock daily to ensure inventory levels are secure.
  • Discrepancies and Issues: Handle discrepancies with finance, stores, and purchasing staff, and ensure that inventory is secure at all times.
  • Sorting and Redirection: Sort internal mail and redirect it to user departments, and take inventory and scan floors every afternoon with electronic HHD.
  • Inventory Levels and Management: Manage department inventory levels to ensure correct stock quantities on hand, and take final year-end physical counts.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in data entry and keyboarding, with experience using multiple materials management computerized systems.
  • Physical Abilities: Physically able to perform tasks involving repetitive heavy lifting, pushing/pulling of heavy loads, and extensive standing and walking.
  • Related Experience: Related experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, and able to make quick assessments to solve minor problems.
