As a Senior Software Developer at SS&C Technologies Holdings, you will be responsible for writing technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements, providing code that enhances software as needed, and supporting, maintaining, and documenting software functionality and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

* Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements
* Provide code that enhances software as needed with little direction from others
* Support, maintain, and document software functionality and practices
* Prototype, refine, test, and debug programs as needed
* Participate in design meetings and analyze user needs to determine function requirements
* Implement designs by utilizing development languages and tools per design specifications
* Develop and execute unit testing
* Provide input into code specification development
* Trouble-shoot problems or issues of moderate scope through analysis of multiple data sets or factors
* Recognize and consider dependencies in planning and decision making
* Apply industry best practices for user software development
* Conduct performance tuning to ensure code is scalable and meets performance requirements

Requirements:

* Computer Science/Engineer related Bachelor's degree; or Master's degree (recent graduate); or 5 years of equivalent work-related experience
* Experience with source code management systems (e.g. Git)
* Experience with Java, React,.NET or other programming languages
* Developing and maintaining SaaS applications
* Web, GraphQL, RESTful Services Development experience
* SQL and NoSQL databases
* A passion for continuous learning as well as the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills
* Able to work with a global team
* Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
* Adheres to software development standards, processes, and best practice
* Good verbal and written communication (English)
* Takes accountability and ownership of deliverables
* Effective problem solving
* Ability to foster an environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration
* Passion for continuous learning
* Focused on providing high-quality deliverables
* Knowledge of Financial Services experience also a plus
