Director, Fleet Commercial Projects

We seek a Director, EV Engagement & Operations to join Element Fleet Management, the world's largest pure-play fleet manager. Our unmatched products and services empower clients to succeed.

The ideal candidate is a creative and ambitious leader with strong strategic, operational, and commercial acumen, capable of executing and implementing Element's electrification products and services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with clients to understand operational, reporting, analytical, and strategic pain points and developing electrification solutions.
  • Developing a scalable, tiered playbook to support clients from early engagements to scaled implementation of zero-emission vehicles and related services.
  • Managing pipeline and prioritization, engaging with key Element commercial stakeholders to define and manage engagement plans.
  • Escalating challenges, proactively engaging with clients and leadership to ensure transparency of performance and issue management/resolution.
  • Developing, managing, and continuously improving processes related to electrification products & services.
  • Workplan development and workforce planning to support hiring plans in advance of need.
  • Developing training materials and guides to support scalability of processes and plan for incoming team members.
  • Presenting analysis and findings to senior leadership and working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Developing regular reporting and read-out materials for senior leadership, EXE, and Board of Directors on progress related to electrification progress of clients.
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders to manage and maintain an appropriate RACI for all processes related to electrification.
  • Developing a plan to continuously update any advisory/consulting tools with up-to-date vehicle and infrastructure data.
  • Collaborating with Digital and IT teams to ensure appropriate sources and consistency of electrification-related data.
  • Identifying, developing, retaining, and growing high-performance talent to enable a high-performance culture.
  • Driving and promoting diversity and ESG mandates within the organization.
  • Ensuring performance objectives of team members are aligned with the goals of the organization.

Requirements include:

  • BA/BSc in Marketing, Business, or Engineering Sciences or another similar field of advanced study; MBA preferred with at least 10+ years of work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project and/or program management, including successful program launch or integration.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in people management; experience leading in a matrix organization and demonstrated ability in influence management.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in project management, proficiency in tools and software to organize tasks, track project schedules, milestones, and critical path issues.
  • Strong familiarity with project management tools, practices, and techniques; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
  • Proven business acumen, analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities with an emphasis in EV, battery technology, or electrical infrastructure highly desired.
