Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Joseph Brant Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing, calibration, quality control, and maintenance procedures on reagents and equipment.
- Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure accurate test results.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and procedures.
- Current CMLTO registration required.
- Recent experience in a Core Laboratory setting required.
- Strong working knowledge of Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meditech Client Server LIS experience an asset.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Good knowledge of hospital and laboratory safety and compliance.
