About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiology Technician to join our team in Markham, ON. As a trusted partner in the food industry, our Public Health mission is to make food systems safer, healthier, and more sustainable.

As a Microbiology Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting microbiological tests on food and environmental samples
  • Recording and analyzing test results
  • Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Microbiology or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A basic knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies
