About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team at Gill and Grewal Optometry Professional Corporation. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our optometrists in their daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Health Care Professionals: Work closely with our optometrists to provide top-notch patient care, including taking medical and ophthalmic histories, and assisting with treatment programs.
  • Clinical Support: Carry out treatment programs under the direction of our optometrists, and maintain accurate records of patient information.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform general clerical duties, process files and paperwork, and schedule appointments.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to support our clinical operations.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
