The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is actively seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to enhance our Child and Youth Ambulatory Care team within the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Eating Disorders Program.

This specialized program is committed to delivering evidence-based interventions for conditions such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and OSFED in individuals under the age of 25.


Position Overview:


The Clinical Psychologist will offer expert clinical consultation to the Eating Disorder Team, addressing complex cases while ensuring adherence to program standards and monitoring patient outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Completion of a CPA/APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Program
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in mental health
  • Profound understanding of working with vulnerable populations and their families
  • Specialized knowledge in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for mental health and eating disorders
  • Design, assess, and research treatment programs
  • Engage in community consultations
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as needed
  • Share expertise and insights with team members

Additional Information:

  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required
  • Criminal reference screening will be conducted
  • Commitment to providing patient care around the clock
