Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Boston Pizza. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a clean environment.
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and ensure they are properly stored.
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain kitchen equipment in good working order.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Will train on the job.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
This is a permanent position working 30-40 hours per week in a rural area.
LanguageEnglish is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
