Job Title: Infant and Toddler Care Specialist

Terra Early Learning Society is seeking a qualified Infant and Toddler Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Public transportation available.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
