Optician Specialist Montreal, QC LensCrafters

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Montreal, QC. As an Optician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible optical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and greet customers, define their expectations
- Prescribe and fit glasses, ensuring accurate placement of prescriptions in lenses
- Lead by example in optical expertise
- Take and record measurements, adjust/assemble glasses with precision, ensuring finished glasses meet standards and customer needs
- Assist team members with complex product prescriptions
- Utilize technology accurately and efficiently, despite time pressure and high customer volume, possess exceptional product knowledge, use appropriate tools
- Proactive, investigate root causes of problems, forward-thinking, ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, solution-focused
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities
- Strive for exceptional results on KPIs and brand skills
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store appearance, assist in maintaining store cleanliness
- Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrate safe work practices
- Resourceful, motivated, with a desire for learning, improvement, and continuous results
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- State license
- Optical retail experience
- Excellent customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- Basic math skills
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Sales skills – ability to use and transport an iPad/tablet
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, computers, and calculators
- Adopt new technologies and change
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service and retail sales
