Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Sushi Chef to join our team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure timely ordering and restocking.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, and provide support and guidance as needed.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Cuisine Specialties: Sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, physically demanding work, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management.
