About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Kelvin Air Solutions Ltd. as a key member of our fabrication department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates, using precision tools and equipment.
  • Operate metalworking machines, such as laser cutters, to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
  • Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Develop computerized patterns and layouts to optimize fabrication efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assemble, erect, and install hoisting and rigging equipment, ensuring safe and secure installation.
  • Fabricate and fit sheet metal parts, using a variety of techniques and materials.
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes, ensuring compliance and quality.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of metalworking principles, including cutting, shaping, and joining techniques.
  • Proficiency in operating metalworking machines, such as laser cutters and grinders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
