Position Overview:


As a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist II, you will engage with young patients, primarily in preschool settings, delivering comprehensive assessment and therapeutic services. Your role will involve collaboration with an inter-professional team to support the communication needs of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:


In your capacity as a Speech Language Pathologist, you will:

  • Deliver clinical services both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Engage in prevention, health promotion, assessment, intervention, and case management activities.
  • Coordinate and implement rehabilitation services in partnership with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize your leadership and interpersonal skills to mentor students and offer clinical guidance to colleagues.
  • Apply your clinical knowledge to enhance quality improvement initiatives, service integration, and program development.


Classification: Speech Pathologist II

Union Affiliation: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH

Program Focus: Children's Rehabilitation Services

Employment Type: Regular Part Time

Work Schedule: 7.75 hours per shift, Days

Salary Range: $43.38 - $57.63 per hour

Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Qualifications:
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Reliable vehicle for work-related travel.

Preferred Experience:
Preference will be given to candidates with a background in pediatric rehabilitation and experience working alongside Therapy Assistants.
