Business Channel Development Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Toromont Cat Power Systems team as a Business Channel Development Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our various business channels, including our Power Systems services business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and development of our business channels, including our Power Systems services business.
- Manage the business relationship with our dealer network, including outlining and communicating operational requirements under the dealer agreement.
- Collaborate with our dealer network to identify opportunities for improvement and work together to implement solutions.
- Work with our aftermarket leadership to ensure performance is included in and reported correctly through each respective business unit.
- Develop and implement strategies to support growth plans and merchandising programs.
- Define, evaluate, and develop the capabilities of our dealer network for both parts and service support.
- Provide training and support to our dealer network to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to represent our products effectively.
- Participate in industry events and activities to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a business development or channel growth role.
- College diploma in Business and/or Engineering and/or Mechanics or Business Degree.
- Bilingual (English and French, spoken and written) is an asset.
- Effective communicator and team player, ability to build rapport with others at any organizational level or role.
- Sense of urgency, and an ability to recognize and act on customer and dealer priorities.
- Ability to influence and gain buy-in without direct reporting authority, both with teams inside and outside of Toromont's organization.
- Ability to apply critical thinking to solve problems involving multiple organizations.
- Knowledge of service operations, including technician and customer communication, dispatch processes, administration of work orders and warranty.
