Position Summary:

The Chemical Technician II will play a crucial role in executing various production tasks aimed at enhancing materials purification and processing. This position also involves engaging in process optimization initiatives and facility expansions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established procedures to achieve production deadlines
  • Conduct reaction preparation and product extraction
  • Uphold ISO-9001 quality standards
  • Document production activities and assist in data trend analysis
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects
  • Carry out sample preparation and quality control procedures
  • Provide suggestions for updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations in the laboratory
  • Address process discrepancies and troubleshoot issues
  • Examine deviations and product-related concerns
  • Analyze data and review quality control outcomes
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments
  • Complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in general chemistry is required
  • Strong laboratory skills and effective communication abilities
  • Familiarity with chemical methodologies and processes
  • Comfortable handling hazardous materials and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to lift heavy objects with mechanical assistance
  • Proficiency in both French and English is essential
