Join Our Team of Medical Specialists

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team of Medical Specialists at LMC Healthcare. As a Chiropody professional, you will have the opportunity to work with a cohesive team of experts, including Endocrinologists, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Nutritionists, and the Centricity research team.

About the Opportunity

  • We have a well-established patient referral system from both our LMC Endocrinologists and external referring physicians, allowing us to efficiently build a patient base for you.
  • Our Medical office assistant will support booking and billing of patients, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • You will have direct support from our Manager of Medical Education and Clinical Operations to assist with onboarding, product conversions, supplies, SOPs, and IT.
  • Our Chiropody, Medical Director will provide clinical support with difficult or unique cases.
  • We offer thorough online LMC training programs to assist you with the onboarding process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full scope of practice Chiropody according to the standards of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
  • Provide patient care, including nail and callous care, wart treatments, treating chronic and acute wounds, performing soft tissue surgeries, biomechanical and gait analysis for offloading purposes.
  • Collaborate with an inter-professional team, including Endocrinologists, Nurses, Diabetes Educators, Pharmacists, etc.
  • Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are well maintained.
  • Provide foot education to patients and other local professionals.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expertise in providing care to individuals with diabetes.
  • Proficiency in use of computers.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Graduate Diploma from a recognized school of Chiropody with professional certification (D.Ch. or D.Pod.M.).
  • Member in good standing with College of Chiropodists without limitations.
