Security Officer Opportunity at Metropolis at Metrotown

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, B.C. As a member of the GardaWorld team, your primary role will be to ensure the safety and security of client assets, tenants, and visitors professionally and courteously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform building patrols to maintain a secure environment
  • Provide exceptional customer service to everyone on the property
  • Exercise powers of arrest in accordance with local laws and company procedures
  • Work closely with law enforcement to gain experience for a future career in Emergency Services
  • Assist visitors, guests, and retail employees with safety, directions, escorts, package transportation, and lost vehicles
  • Apply property rules and regulations in a fair and responsible manner
  • Write daily and incident reports
  • Intervene during medical emergencies and provide first aid
  • Respond to situations of crime, urgency, and disturbance occurring at the mall

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid BC Security Guard License
  • Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) certification (preferred)
  • Availability to work full-time and flexible hours
  • Strong customer service skills
