Research Associate I

Job Summary
The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Associate to join our team at the Princess Margaret Genomics Centre. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for managing fee-for-service and collaborative research projects, as well as scientific community outreach, development, and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate collaboration and service agreements with external partners.
- Prepare and submit scientific progress reports to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with the scientific community.
- Perform other duties as required to support the success of the Princess Margaret Genomics Centre.
Requirements
- Master's degree in cancer genetics, molecular biology, genetic counselling, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in research-oriented research, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Formal training or certification in project management is an asset.
- Experience developing science communications and marketing materials is an asset.
- Ability to work independently with accuracy in a multitasking environment.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office software and online tools.
