Position Overview: The Lead Mechanical Engineering Associate will be instrumental in spearheading mechanical engineering initiatives, supervising personnel, and propelling business development strategies. This leadership role is perfect for a driven professional eager to progress to a Principal position and contribute significantly to the company's future achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Direct and manage the design and implementation of mechanical systems across diverse projects, including healthcare, institutional, and public sector facilities.
  2. Oversee and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, promoting a collaborative and high-achieving work environment.
  3. Foster business development by identifying new prospects, nurturing client relationships, and engaging in proposal and bidding processes.
  4. Supervise project management tasks, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional quality standards.
  5. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless and integrated project execution.
  6. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is mandatory.
  3. A minimum of 8-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, particularly in building systems.
  4. Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity, with a successful track record of managing teams and projects.
  5. Strong business development acumen, with the ability to cultivate and sustain client relationships.
  6. Excellent project management capabilities, with proficiency in handling multiple projects concurrently.
  7. Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other pertinent tools.
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Strategic thinking ability to contribute to the long-term growth and success of the organization.
