At SiteOne Landscape Supply, we are seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our branch, you will be responsible for leading our Irrigation department and working closely with customers to ensure excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Branch Manager in sales and operations planning, statistical demand forecasting, and integration of supply and demand plans.
- Promote a safe working environment by emphasizing safety daily through leading by example.
- Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training, and executing policies.
- Understand and execute the principles of inventory management, target customer mix, and sales.
- Create a positive environment for employees that encourages teamwork in alignment with SiteOne DNA.
- Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable of the Irrigation product line and customer needs to support achievement of departmental sales goals.
- Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
- Support other branch departments and customers as needed.
- 1-3 years of experience in the green industry and an understanding of irrigation products, preferred.
- Excellent customer service and management skills.
- Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting.
- Understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets.
- Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working.
- For Internal Candidates Only: Line of Business (LOB) Certification Level I or higher, preferred.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
