Team Leader, Chemical Recovery & Utilities (CRU) Relief

We are seeking a highly skilled Team Leader to oversee the efficient operation of the steam plant and utilities at our Irving Pulp & Paper Mill in Saint John, NB.

As a Team Leader in the CRU, you will work closely with your team of power engineers to provide the mill with all utilities required to produce a premium Kraft product. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the re-causticizing process, ensuring quality and timeliness of work, and adhering to labour contract and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the efficient operation of the steam plant and utilities.
  2. Work closely with the department day staff to ensure smooth workflow and high productivity.
  3. Ensure consistent adherence to ISO standards for quality and environmental management.
  4. Adhere to labour contract and ensure compliance.
  5. Communicate with other supervisors to help achieve and maintain smooth workflow and high productivity.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years applicable trade experience in an industrial, mechanical, manufacturing or shipbuilding environment.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to lead and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
