Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Aide to join our team at Hope Wellness Centre Inc. as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients in their homes, hospitals, and other healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
  • Provide basic medical care including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing other tasks as needed.
  • Support patients with mobility issues by assisting with transfers, ambulation, and other mobility-related tasks.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients who require assistance with eating.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations and their families.
  • Knowledge of cultural competency and sensitivity in healthcare settings.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages (English is the primary language spoken in this role).
