Occupational Therapist I

At Alberta Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist I to join our team at the Halvar Jonson Centre for Brain Injury.
About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with patients who have acquired brain injury. As an Occupational Therapist I, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing client-centered treatment programs to help patients achieve their goals and regain independence.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to develop personalized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-informed services to promote occupational performance and independence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Develop and implement adaptive equipment and assistive technology solutions
- Manage behaviorally challenged patients and provide support to therapy assistants
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
- Greater than 6 months experience in working with neurology, stroke, and brain-injured patients
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Three years' clinical experience in rehabilitation services using a client-centered approach
